It was truly a heartwarming and earnest performance by the actor. He will remind you uncannily of Aamir Khan in Taare Zameen Par, as he tries to make vexed parents understand that their child is special and that forcing the child to follow the norm will never work. Suriya shined throughout the film, but it did become a little too tiresome towards the end.Īfter experimenting with action, crime, comedy and romance, you would have been really surprised to Suriya as a loving and understanding child psychiatrist in Pasanga 2.

Probably not one of his best experiments, this horror comedy film had a really interesting plot, but thanks to brutal commercialising, it ended as a very average film. Such an excellent plot, thanks to mediocre direction, lost much of its potential and only received average response from the public, though it was appreciated by the critics. Seriously, which actor with the exception of Vikram perhaps, has dared to do something so radical? The story is about conjoined twins, Vimalan and Akhilan, who are both played by Suriya and they are joined from the waist up. In this movie, Suriya played conjoined twins. This revenge story became so popular that it was remade again in Bollywood with actor Aamir Khan. But he forgets everything in 15 minutes and has to start all over again! Ghajini is well known for amazing performances by Suriya and Asin, who rose to fame following this movie. It is a tale about Sanjay Ramasamy, played by the actor, who tries to locate and avenge the murderers of his love Kalpana, played by Asin. Who can possibly forget Ghajini?
